The gap in access to therapies in V4 is high - it's time to act.
The GAP (GEARING UP ACCESS PROPOSAL FOR V4) tool prudently measured the access in selected therapeutic areas in the Visegrád Group (V4) countries (Poland, Hungary, Czechia, and Slovakia) with the optimal standard of care as a benchmark. The performed analysis allowed identification of certain lags in availability to care.

In Poland, limitations were observed in almost all analysed therapeutic areas with most significant barriers in diagnosis and treatment access in rare and chronic diseases.
Czech Republic
In Czechia, the most considerable limitations in health care access relate to the diagnosis and the treatment of rare diseases.
Slovakia
In Slovakia, oncology and rare diseases are areas with the most significant limitations in treatment and diagnostics access.
Hungary
Huge differences in access level can be observed in Hungary. Additionally, significant limitations were examined in each therapeutic area.
